Summer Internship 2024

Steps of the internship during the summer:

  1. Find an internship topic
  2. Submit the application form to the department's internship coordinator
  3. Submit the task description signed by the supervisor of the internship host to the department's internship coordinator
  4. Start the work
  5. Fill out the daily work diary
  6. End the work
  7. Submit the certificate of completion signed by the supervisor of the internship host to the department's internship coordinator
  8. Submit 15-20 pages report to the department's internship coordinator
  9. Apply to the appropriate internship course in the Neptun

The minimum length and other requirements of the internships related to the degree programs:

  • Electrical Engineering BSc
    • At least six weeks (240 hours).
    • The internship can only be done at an internship location where the faculty has a cooperation agreement and concludes a student employment contract with the student.
  • Computer Engineering BSc
    • At least eight weeks (320 hours).
    • The internship can only be done at an internship location where the faculty has a cooperation agreement and concludes a student employment contract with the student.
  • Electrical Engineering MSc
    • At least four weeks (160 hours).
    • The internship can only be done at an internship location, which concludes a student employment contract with the student.
  • Computer Engineering MSc
    • At least six weeks (240 hours).
    • The internship can only be done at an internship location where the faculty has a cooperation agreement and concludes a student employment contract with the student.

During the study period, the working hours cannot exceed 20 hours per week. Departments can set stricter requirements for the weekly maximum.

The acceptance criteria for the internship:

  1. Submitted and accepted application form and task description by the start of the work
  2. 15-20 pages report about the work
  3. Work diary with a daily breakdown, verified by the external supervisor
  4. Written assessment of the professional knowledge and competencies acquired by students issued by the supervisor of the internship site

All the above documents should be submitted to the department's internship coordinator.

The locations and topics of the internship for foreign can be viewed on the faculty's website from the end of the semester. Applications for faculty topics must be made to the internship coordinator no later than two weeks before the beginning of the internship.

If the faculty does not yet have a cooperation agreement with the chosen company, the internship coordinator must apply for it.

To complete the internship, you must apply to the appropriate internship course in the Neptun corresponding to the degree program. 
In the case of a summer internship in the fall semester. In the case of an internship that exceeds the autumn study period in the spring semester.

Conditions for internship training carried out through student cooperation companies:

  • The faculty must have a cooperation agreement with the business entry that organizes the internship training if the given training requires it, and it must be concluded if it is not.
  • The conclusion of a cooperation agreement must be requested from the internship coordinator of the faculty. Request to conclude a cooperation agreement
  • The application form (Internship application form.docx) is filled in by the student, approved by the department's internship coordinator
  • The task description (Task Description form.docx) is filled in by the student, approved by the department's internship coordinator, and signed by the internship site (not the student's cooperation company).
  • The certificate of completion (Certificate of completion form.docx) of the internship and evaluation of the work is filled out and signed by the internship site.
  • The daily work diary (Work-diary template.xlsx) is also signed by the internship site.
  • The employment contract is concluded by the school cooperative, and the allowance is also provided by the school cooperative.
