BME is pleased to announce that Qiskit Fall Fest 2026 will take place on 30 October, with the support of IBM Quantum.

For the second consecutive year, BME has been selected as one of the universities worldwide to host Qiskit Fall Fest, following a selection process involving over 900 applications globally. Building on the success of Hungary's first Qiskit Fall Fest, held at BME in 2025, the event will once again bring together students, researchers, and industry professionals interested in quantum technologies.

The programme will feature presentations by a guest speaker representing IBM Quantum, industry specialists from sponsoring companies and academic professionals, offering perspectives on both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of quantum computing.

Topics will include *q*uantum careers and applications across different fields, quantum algorithms and simulation, quantum hardware and recent developments in quantum technologies. A panel discussion will provide further opportunities for exchanging perspectives between academia and industry.

Participants will also have the opportunity to take part in interactive challenges with awards and network with researchers, industry professionals and fellow quantum computing enthusiasts.
